heard many times john CHOW is only after the money and don’t care much else, and John COW is a smart guy to use his name( CHOW) to earn the bucks

@Steve – Congrats for your success with your pages at MDW. As I said earlier, its a gamble which can work and fail. And I am glad, you got some value from it

One more thing, i would like to suggest, if you are into making money with your blogs, you should not stop reading John Chow blogs. Although there is a lot of crappy products promotion, sometimes you find a lot of juice from his blog as said by Lori and others in the above comments. I too personally visit his blog once every couple of days. Only thing one should avoid is following any body’s advice blindly, without any research on one’s part.

I own a few pages on Million Dollar Wiki. When I started buyablogger.com, we had just launched and there were no bloggers on the site. Through the pages I bought on Million Dollar Wiki, we now have nearly 150 bloggers signed up. To me, it has been a good investment. I didn’t buy my pages to make money, just to increase my presence. I knew a lot of people would be searching for “blog” on million dollar wiki.

But its clear that John Chow is just trying to sell out his audience with the Cow, and profit from it. I expected more from him. I don’t think I’ll be reading John Chow anymore. Better stick to dosh dosh.

I don’t have a problem with John Chow pushing affiliate products. I do the same, thats sort of the point of having a site with affiliate links. I personally check out each and every affiliate program, vendor or site and usually set up an account myself. But I dont start pumping sunshine up everyone’s skirt about how fantastic a site is right off the bat. There’s no way I could say ‘yes this is a great program or site’ or whatever on the first day I sign up. The only reason for signing up for affiliate anything and instantly turning into a cheerleader for the product is to generate affiliate traffic. But by the same token..that IS the name of the game if you’re trying to create affiliate residuals I suppose.
