Affiliate Tips for high conversion rates!

Affiliate Marketing Add comments

The conversions of your affiliate program depend upon how well you promote them. Promoting your affiliate program by merely placing banners will have the lowest conversions. Well to tell you the truth, when I started promoting affiliate programs, I placed banners and text ads around my content. And the result was ZERO conversions!

But after some learning, I tweaked my method and the results were amazing! Here is some of my learning which increased my affiliate conversions from almost ZERO to 15%. (For every 100 visitors who click my links, I have 15 conversions in a highly competitive niche)

  • Do not try to sell. Your job is to set the mindsets of your visitor to buying mode and make him click the affiliate link. The best approach here is by telling honestly what you liked about the product, why you liked it and the results you got from using it. If you have not personally used that product, get a review from someone who has used it.
  • Don’t promote more than one product on a page. The simple rule is if you have more products to promote, create more pages. The entire page should be focused on a single product. This will also help you in getting better search rankings.
  • Place multiple affiliate links within the article, so that the reader can easily find it and click on it. It is a good habit to place your affiliate link at the start, in the middle and at the end of your article.
  • Your content should be quickly scannable. Use headings, subheadings, bulleted points, bold keyword phrases etc. This will have a great visual impact of your story.
  • If the program is offering any special coupons, incentives, discount or any other benefits mention them. Make sure the offers that you list are not outdated.

Apply these techniques and see how your conversions grow!
